Pros: Normal camera holding with ALZO bracket.
Cons: NO 2 Stage area on the switch to pre-focus/pre-meter. It's there, just very very shallow.
Best Uses: A MUST have for the ALZO bracket. Otherwise, you have a large learning curve in learning to re-hold your equipment on the fly.
Describe Yourself: Semi-Pro Photographer
I've given one of the best reviews on any product I've ever used for the ALZO deluxe bracket with swivel/umbrella mount purchase here at ALZO, but, the ability of firing the camera without this switch needed a large learning curve to get use to holding with your opposite hand. Now with the switch, one can 'normally' the camera (left hand supporting the lens barrel) and fire with the right index finger. The only issue I have with this new must have bracket and switch combo... The switch IS NOT 2 STAGE FRIENDLY. So the line between pre-focus/metering and firing the shutter is nearly non-existent. Very bad for nervous Nelly's with shaky fingers. Maybe it will break-in as time goes on. I don't know. So I'm glad I got it for comfort/useful/normal shooting reasons, but kinda disappointed with the construction/sensitivity/focus aspect.
